"Fear Not"

"Fear Not"

This is a short message taken from my book "Be Not Afraid"' By pastro Don Stewart II

Psalms 27;1 reads "the Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? " Just think, if we did not have God's Word to uplift us and comfort us, we would be afraid. It is so beautiful and peaceful to know that we should not have to worry about the outside world.

God gives us so much to be thankful for, and a lot of times, we don't see that, even as everyday Christians. As we look to God when we pray, we need to pray for protection, to be safe from all harm. God's Word declares in Matthew 11:28, that if you are heavy laden, to come unto Him and He will give you rest.

The Word laden means burdened, loaded. It is our fleshly nature to worry about things. And when we do, that is why God's Word is so important to turn to. Praying will sure help as well. Because God's Word declares in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness andd these things shall be added unto you." Haven't you ever noticed that after you pray, you feel more comfortable a lot less worried. It helps build your confidence. Try it sometime. When you feel like the world is closing in on you -- you are having financial problems somebody in your family is giving you problems, it could be a multitude of things, but thank God we can turn to Him and put it in His hands.

Boy it makes me want to shout and be happy to know that I can turn my burdens over to the Master and he can cure everything, becasue Jesus hears and sees everything.

The Word of God is very important because of what it says and if we will read and put it to work in our lives we should not have fear. Fear is the opposite of faith, and romans 10:17 says So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. And to be able to walk by faith you need to hear the Word of God . We needto get it down deep inside us let it build us up and to speak it over us and use it as our authority to cast out fear. Fear does not belong in our lives. 2nd Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear : but of power , love and a sound mind. He has given us a spirit of power, the power to keep fear and I mean all fear away. Get into the word and begin to walk in that power andremain fear free.

Psalms 27:3 reads Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Yes this scripture here was written by David, who was a man with a lot of confidence in the Lord. look at the time he killed Goliath, what a job! there are so many thingsyou can do if you just believe in Jesus Christ. He is the one to look to for your guidance and your confidence. If you want to you can read about david's battle with Goliath, in 1st Samuel chapter 17. Just imagine what David did, picture that in your mind.

"With God all things are possible" So with God in your life, there is no reason to have fear.

In Psalms chapter 91 you can read about being secure in God and this is a wonderful scripture to pray over yourself and family it works. It will help build your confidence as well.

Psalms 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Read the whole chapter of psalms 91 get it down in your spirit and allow it to build you up in faith and it will cause holy boldness to rise up in you. And we need this type of boldness in the hour that we are living in. Praise God!!!!

God Bless you all
